Videos for Change
Time to get creative!
Do you have a student or students with a flair for digital media?
Entries are now open for the esteemed High Resolves Videos of Change Challenge; daring students to use their creative skills for some global goodness!
So, what is it?
Videos for Change provides a platform to amplify student voice to an international audience, with last year’s winning videos reaching more than 600,000 people in 91 countries.
Videos for Change is a real-world, student-led, project-based learning experience that empowers high school students to be advocates of social change.
To be involved, students must create a one-minute video to inspire others to take action on a social issue they are passionate about — any issue at all.
This engaging learning experience allows students to develop the critical global competencies needed to be active, responsible and engaged citizens and can be delivered as a unit of work, part of a wellbeing program or simply used as an assessment item across multiple subject areas.
The 2019 competition will be open for submissions from 24 June – 13 September and award categories include, Junior High, Senior High, People’s Choice and Indigenous Youth Voice.
The winning videos will receive a share of $12,000 of prizes and have the chance to be featured on Network 10’s The Project.
