Nominations are now open for the Victorian Education Excellence Awards (VEEA). This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the VEEA.

The VEEA recognise and highlight the work of inspirational Victorian government teachers, principals and education support staff who improve schools and support children and young people every day. In 2021, two new award categories have been introduced to recognise primary and secondary school teachers in the first five years of their career: Outstanding Early Career Primary Teacher and Outstanding Early Career Secondary Teacher.

The winner from each category will be awarded a professional learning grant of up to $25,000. These grants invest in ongoing professional development to sustain school and student outcomes.

Head to the VEEA Website for further information on eligibility and how to nominate. Learn about the 2020 award winners and their inspirational journeys.

Nominations close on Monday, 7 June 2021. For any enquiries, please email excellence.awards@education.vic.gov.au.
