Victorian Student Representative Council are excited to share their first State Election Platform.
The following priorities have been developed based on ongoing consultations with students across Victoria over the past couple of years and are focused on systemic changes to ensure students are partners in education.
VicSRC’s Election Platform Priorities
- It’s been a tough couple of years for students, and it’s impacted students’ mental health and wellbeing. That’s why we’re asking candidates support to establish a student-led Taskforce on student mental health.
- As students, we understand the value of effective student teacher relationship in creating positive and safe school culture. This is why we are seeking funding for our internationally recognised Teach the Teacher program to be implemented at every school in the state.
- We want the candidates to commit to actively seeking guidance, advice and feedback from students in the creation, development, implementation and evaluation of all education policies, programs and initiatives now, and in the future.
“Students are the most important stakeholders in the education system, and we have fantastic solutions to make it a better place for us to learn and grow.”
