CEP is proud to announce that we have our first Teach Rural placements occurring in Term 2.
We would like to introduce you to Laura who is one of our Teach Rural placements:
My name is Laura. I am a pre-service teacher studying the Master of Teaching program at Melbourne Uni and my learning areas are Psychology and Humanities. I come from Germany originally, however, I have resided in Australia as a permanent resident for ten years now. I applied for the Teach Rural program, as I am looking forward to getting away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne city. As an ardent hiker, I am keen to explore the rural lifestyle of Tallangatta, which is surrounded by lush countryside. In addition, I have heard many good things about the welcoming school community of Tallangatta and am thrilled to be working in such a positive and collaborative work environment. Teach Rural has facilitated this process in a personable and efficient way and I am grateful for the assistance that we have received so far, which includes sourcing accommodation. Thank you to everyone involved and see you soon!
