Rural Youth Ambassadors Specialist Schools Initiative
On Tuesday the 30th of May we were delighted to attend the official premiere screening of the Specialist Schools Youth Ambassadors Video. This took place at the Maryborough Education Centre and was the culmination of the amazing work of our 2022 Specialist School Ambassadors. The theme of the video was to highlight the amazing opportunities that occur in a specialist setting and separate the facts from the myths.
We would like to thank all those involved, especially our MEC students Lachlan Oates and Rebecca Blackwell. They were amazing on screen and off, as they answered lots of questions from an engaged and captivated audience. The other schools involved will no doubt be showcasing their students in the weeks to come. CEP was delighted to be involved in this wonderful project and we thank MEC for the way they celebrated their students’ outstanding achievements. A big thank you to Principal, Dave Sutton and AP, Julie Reiger for their support of the project. Julie did a wonderful job as the host of the screening.
It was also lovely to welcome two new ambassadors for 2023 to the event. We look forward to seeing a lot more of Blake Amos and Logan Evans in the months ahead. A special final shout out to Coby Polinelli from MEC for capturing the experience on the day.
