The Country Education Partnership is pleased to be working with Steve Munby during this month to provide an outstanding education leadership forum for rural and remote principals and aspiring education leaders.

Education Leadership Forum

Date: Thursday, 26th October
Time:     9.00am to 3.30pm
Venue:   Bastow Institute, North Melbourne.

Steve will provide a range of interactive sessions aimed at inspiring education leaders to make a real difference to the learning that occurs within their schools and clusters and partnerships. He will explore a range of topics under the key areas of:

  • The early years of education leadership
  • The power and love of leadership
  • Collaborative and Lateral Leadership
  • Coaching as a key tool to inspiring education leaders within and across education settings.

So, if you are relatively new in your role as a rural education leader, or you are an education leader within a rural cluster or partnership, or you are just wanting to be inspired by one of the leading figures on education leadership in the world, this forum is for you.

So, what does it cost?
The Country Education Partnership is supporting this forum and the cost to be involved is only $40.00 per person, inclusive of registration and all meals.

And about Steve:
Steve Munby recently retired as Chief Executive of Education Development Trust, an international education charity working in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Before that, he was for many years CEO of the National College for School Leadership in England.  He is now self-employed as a consultant and speaker on leadership and system reform and a facilitator of events and conferences.
Many of his keynote speeches on leadership are available to view on YouTube or Google.

His most recent publication was a think-piece written jointly with Michael Fullan:  “Inside-out and downside-up – How leading from the middle has the power to transform education systems”.
Steve is also the facilitator for the Atlantic Rim Collaboratory and Visiting Professor at University College London.
