You’re invited to the Country Education Partnership’s Rural Education Conference!
Date: September 3&4. Location: Bayview Eden, Queens Rd, Melbourne.
In 2018, the conference will aim to provide a genuine opportunity for education leaders, educators and support staff working in rural, remote and small education settings to celebrate their achievements while also exploring new and innovative ways to provide engaging education into the future.
The Conference will comprise a range of formats to accommodate all education communities, with attendance welcome across one or two days.

Monday, September 3 “Take Your Clustering to the Next Level”
A full-day program, exploring the real value rural education communities have had on education provision through collaboration.
Facilitated by Maggie Farrar from the United Kingdom, the day is ideal for those education communities involved in clustered education, or those who are interested in implementing a cluster approach.
The day’s format will be interactive, allowing participants to immerse themselves in a range of discussions.

Conference Dinner:
The highly-anticipated Conference Dinner will take place on the evening of Monday, September 3.
Beginning with canapés and social drinks, the dinner will provide an opportunity for conference participants to network and mingle.
In addition, CEP will announce the 2018 winner of the Rural Education Award during the evening.

Entertainment will be provided by a number of sensational students from within our rural and remote communities.
Tuesday, September 4 “Keys to an Enriched Education”
A full-day program exploring the real value and contribution that rural and remote schools have consistently provided to country students. An array of inspirational stories will be shared and celebrated.
We will also have Simon Breakspear on hand, facilitating a workshop to consider how we might best provide a enriched education environment into the future.
Not to be outdone, Peter Gamwell from Otawa, Ontario, Canada will also join us to share his experiences of what really makes a difference in rural and remote education, and the importance of focused engagement for students. Peter is highly regarded across Canada for his work as a key leader in education provision.
In addition to these keynote presentations, workshops and forums will be on offer, exploring a range of key areas that are relevant to rural and remote education communities such as:
– P-12 education settings – are we realising their full potential
– literacy through multi-age learning
– supporting special needs students
– lifting the aspirations of our rural young people
– student engagement
– looking after yourself
– staff recruitment and retention

Full Conference (Monday and Tuesday) – $350.00 for CEP Financial Members, and $420.00 for Non Financial Members
One Full Day (Monday or Tuesday) – $200.00 for CEP Financial Members, and $250.00 for Non Financial Members
