What is the Rural Youth Ambassador Program?
The Rural Youth Ambassador program is a specific program focused on Year 11 rural students, and forms part of the Rural Inspire initiative aimed at increasing the ambassadorial role of rural young people and broadening their aspirations and is supported by the Commonwealth Government.
We are pleased to have the support of the Department of Education in Victoria to ensure the continued success of the Victorian Rural Youth Ambassador program.
The Rural Youth Ambassador program operated successfully in New South Wales, South Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria in 2021 and will culminate in a National Forum held in Albury this week.
Project Staff engaged through the Country Education Partnership will oversee the development and implementation of the 2022 Victorian Rural Youth Ambassadors program and, in consultation with past Rural Youth Ambassadors, will oversee the selection of the participants for this year.
