Great teachers are the ‘single most important school variable influencing student achievement’.
CEP wants to help all of our rural and remote Early Career and Graduate teachers become excellent, qualified educators by focusing on a culture of mentoring and support.
Currently we are circulating the Early Careers/Graduate Survey. Our immediate focus is to provide our Victorian graduates working in regional, remote and rural schools with networking opportunities (specifically to build partnerships between other graduate teachers through an online forum) and with other rural mentor teachers.
Before we can begin implementing this mentoring initiative, CEP is seeking responses to the survey so that we can best identify and support the needs of graduate teachers in rural and remote education settings.
Please complete the survey here.
We ask that responses be completed by Friday, 23rd April 2021.
The results will be collated and analysed and by week 5, Term 2 it is our aim to develop a series of online chat sessions, with expert teachers (via the CEP website) to discuss each educator’s most desired areas for development. The sessions will be documented so that they may be returned to, and will also be supported by online resources (written and audio) for teachers to access at their leisure.
