West Grampians Network meeting

Recently CEP attended the West Grampians Network meeting, to present and work with Principals around clusters and  the benefits of collaboration. It was also a wonderful opportunity to connect with Network chair Chris Walter and see the work their Network is achieving.
The CEP cluster program seeks to support rural education settings to develop collaborative approaches between schools to ensure all students have access to high quality education and opportunities.
Whether a school is already part of an established cluster or would like to explore the possibility of building a cluster connection CEP are able to help.
Some specific areas of support CEP provides to clusters:

  • New cluster advice, support and development
  • Development of an agreed approach to cluster work through creation of a Cluster Development Plan
  • Advocacy work – using the collective voice of the cluster
  • Support to implement Level 2 work: Targeted initiatives; where groups of staff across cluster schools work together eg Grade 3/4 teachers across the cluster undertaking learning walks in each others schools
  • Support to implement Level 3 work: Whole cluster focus; where all cluster schools and staff initiate eg A whole cluster Professional Learning day
  • Attendance at clusters meetings to create two way sharing of information and ideas between the cluster and CEP
  • An intensive 12-18 month collaboration between CEP and the cluster to drive key work or initiate a new cluster.
  • Be an external entity to undertake reviews, troubleshoot etc
As always, please feel free to reach out to our Cluster Project Manager, Shane Mathison, if you have any questions about clusters.
