The Country Education Project Scholarship Fund has been established to support rural communities to enhance learning provision.
Aim
To provide scholarships to rural education personnel and organizations that enhance the education provision provided within such communities.
To achieve this aim the fund will support the following activities:
- Allocate scholarships in acknowledging best practice by individuals, groups of individuals, or organizations who provide quality learning
- Support individuals, groups of individuals, or organisations to further develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of rural education
- Support the development of learning programs that enhance the learning provision within rural communities
The Scholarship Fund has two current initiatives including:
- Baillieu Myer Rural Education Scholarship
This award is in recognition of outstanding leadership within rural Victoria and comes with a scholarship valued at $12,000. Principals, teachers, school councilors and community members who are involved in supporting and enhancing education in rural Victoria are eligible to nominate.
