There are many great education programs happening in rural communities across the state. CEP Inc has put together a group of these great projects for people to read through and perhaps follow up.

Twenty Years of Energy Breakthrough

This year saw the twentieth year of Energy Breakthrough in Maryborough in November, with in access of 350 teams and 8,000 people involved in a range of activities and events that showed off students learning from the past twelve months. It now generates in excess of $ 4 million for the Maryborough community.

South Gippsland Collaborative Music Program

The South Gippsland Schools Music Program is celebrating 25 years of bringing music to more than a generation of rural students in 2010.  This is a cluster program involving five secondary colleges: Wonthaggi SC, Korumburra SC, Leongatha SC, Mirboo North SC and South Gippsland SC who share resources to employ instrumental music teachers.

Teacher Associate Program at St Augustines

During 2007, the staff and leadership team from St Augustine’s College developed a learning approach that focused on supporting the provision of personalised learning. The overall aim of the program was to support a personalised learning approach for students from Prep through to Year 12 and build stronger links between staff students and parents.
