Edublogs has a great article on student safety online addressing cyber bullying (mostly on phones ans SMS, not the internet), internet predators (“about 1% of child abuse and sexual abuse cases”), whether students should use their real names, photos or their work being public or private.
The most interesting comment I found on there was:
…you can’t just do one off lessons on cyber safety. Cyber safety is not a separate subject.
