About

The Country Education Project is a statewide organisation that supports the provision of education within rural communities across Victoria.

Affectionately known as CEP, it has been in existence for over 30 years and is now seen as the pre-eminent organisation on rural education within Victoria. It is involved in supporting, facilitating and co-ordinating a number of innovative and responsive programs for people throughout rural Victoria, as well as representing their issues and ideas to education sectors, government and key stakeholders.

CEPs desire has always been to work for and on behalf of all rural education communities to ensure that learners within this communities have access to the highest quality of education provision – both government and non-government education organsiations. As a result CEP plays a unique role as an independent entity within the education industry of Victoria.

CEP believes that rural communities contribute significantly to the Victorian economy and the provision of quality rural education is an essential component for its sustainability, growth and future.

It also believes that working collaboratively through locally developed partnerships, is the best approach to providing quality learning within these communities.
